Eyes on the road
Swervo is built so you never have to touch it while driving.
It speaks every verdict and every turn. Listen; don't read. The map is there for a glance, the way a mirror is.
Directions can be wrong. Road signs, signals and what you see always come first.
Sideload edition: The only thing you might do while an offer is on screen is tap once to stop it. Do that only when stopped, or not at all: the offer will simply be handled the way the app announced. Play edition: Accept or decline in the delivery app yourself, and only when it is safe: when stopped, or not at all.
Holding or handling a phone while driving is illegal in most US states, and staring at a screen can be cited as distracted driving. You are the driver, and you alone are responsible for how and when you look at or touch this phone. Swervo is not a substitute for your attention.
Mount the phone where it does not block your view. Set up your shift and your route before you move. If something needs fixing, pull over.

Before your first drive with directions
Shown once, before the driving view first opens; never over an offer's bar and never while the car is moving. Buttons: Got it (opens directions) and Not now (no directions; "Open in Google Maps" is offered only when the driver already chose Google Maps as the backup).
Before your first drive with Swervo directions
- Directions come from OpenStreetMap. Routes can be wrong or out of date, and they don't know about traffic, closures or weather.
- Follow road signs, signals and traffic laws, not the app, whenever they differ.
- Not for emergencies. In an emergency call 911.
- Set up your route before you drive, not while moving. "Arrived" is the app's estimate; it doesn't confirm a pickup or a delivery.
- Directions are spoken, so you don't need to look at the screen. Don't touch the phone while moving.
At an arrival, "Next stop" works only under 3 mph on a fresh GPS fix; while moving it is disabled and reads "Stop to confirm".
While the car is moving
Above 5 mph the Home screen shows only the next step, its minutes and one street, with nothing to tap; it opens back up after speed stays under 3 mph. This is a mitigation, not a promise that interaction is safe, and the notice does not describe it as one.
